众所周知,农林类高校是指以农林类专业为主的院校,为了能够提高我国农林类产品的效益,需要农林类人才做出巨大贡献。ESP是指与某种特定职业或者学科相关的英语,自从我国加入世贸组织以后,国家学术交流的机会越来越多,社会也需要更多掌握良好英语水平的人才。现阶段,我国在高职类院校ESP的课程设置方面进行了深入研究,但是在农林类高校却很少设置ESP课程。我国是一个农业发展大国,农业发展离不开科技创新,也离不开国外的先进技术与经验等,因此在农林类院校加入ESP课程非常有必要,能够广泛提高农林类人才的综合素质,满足社会化需求。
