OBJECTIVE: To compare the differences of angiographic features of arterial lesions of lower extremities between diabetic and non-diabetic patients by computed tomography angiography (CTA). Methods: The clinical data and CTA imaging data of 110 patients with lower extremity arterial diseases admitted to the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University from March 2014 to January 2017 were retrospectively analyzed. Among them, 58 were in the diabetic group and 52 in the non-diabetic group. The characteristics of lower extremity arterial lesions in both groups were compared. Results: The number of stenosis of deep femoral artery, popliteal artery, anterior tibial artery, posterior tibial artery and peroneal artery in diabetic group was significantly higher than that in control group (P <0.05). The deep femoral artery, popliteal artery, The degree of stenosis of the anterior tibial artery, posterior tibial artery and peroneal artery were significantly higher than that of the control group (P <0.05). Conclusion: Arterial vascular diseases of lower extremities in diabetic patients are more extensively involved in blood vessels and the severity of the disease is more serious.
