贵州省博物馆珍藏的宋人墨迹——《信宿帖》(图一),是北宋名臣韩琦仅存的书迹。韩琦,字稚圭,相州安阳(今河南安阳)人。在北宋仁宗、英宗、神宗三朝为官,封魏国公,卒谥“忠献”。他作为当时重要的军事将领,曾多次率兵抵御西夏元昊的进攻,战功显赫。史书记载他“为陕西西路经略安抚、招讨使,屯泾州。琦与范仲淹在兵间久,名重一时,人心归之,朝廷倚以为重,故天下称为‘韩范’。……琦相三朝,立二帝,厥功大矣。当治平危疑之际,两宫几成嫌隙,琦处之裕如,卒安社稷,人服其量。欧阳修称其临大事,决大议,垂绅正笏,不动声色,措天下于泰山之安可谓社稷之臣”(《宋史·列传第七十一》)。可见他在当时不仅位高权重,而且也是德高望重的。
