In the process of clearing offshore oil spills, the oil spill equipment needs to be transported to the scene of the accident before the oil spills. To address this transportation challenge, a proposal for a new Bell-Boeing V-22 TiltRotor aircraft was recently proposed. To date, ocean-going vessels remain the only effective means of transporting the oil boom. The ocean-going ship from the starting point to the scene takes a few hours or even days. Fixed-wing aircraft are not suitable for this condition, and helicopters are subject to load capacity and normal flight distance limitations.
