When people speak or write articles, sometimes the meaning of the sentences is not clear or inaccurate due to the impassability of sentences. For example: (1) In order to be proud and complacent, he was criticized by his comrades. (2) Beautiful dances and beautiful singing on the stage came to my ears. (3) He is not only very thin, but also very energetic. Example (1) “To” is a preposition to indicate purpose. “Pride and complacency” is not the purpose of criticism, but the reason for criticism. Therefore, “for” should be changed to “because”. In the example (2), the subject part includes two aspects of “dance” and “song”, and the predicate part “transmitted to my ear” can only be matched with “song” and cannot be matched with “dance” because dance can only see Can’t hear it. The meaning of the two clauses in Example (3) is the opposite. They should be a transitional relationship rather than a progressive one. Instead of “progressive,” instead of “Not only... And...” should be replaced by “Although... but...” Only appropriate.
