【《医学世界报导》1989年9月】已知主要作为抗癌药之用的白细胞介素-2,看来亦能矫治某些免疫缺陷疾病。美国长岛犹太医学中心的医师曾对一例严重的混合性免疫缺陷病每周应用白细胞介素-2治疗,使其生命得以维持。据儿童骨髓移植部的负责人 Raj Pahwa博士称,他们对该例病人的治疗获得成功,说明了某些严重的混合性免疫缺陷病病例是由于白细胞介素-2的生成障碍所造成,而且是不能用治疗该病的标准方法即骨髓移植来治疗。
