Primary Chinese textbook Volume III, Volume 22, is two riddles. How to carry out the teaching of riddles? We have discussed with several experienced junior grade language teachers, and after listening to some lessons, it is worth learning from the following two points: First, to analyze riddles and to study the essence. Riddles are short, moral descriptions of something or phenomenon. It uses the subtle, concise, accurate language to metaphor the image of things. It can be said that there are some “subtexts” hidden behind every phrase in the riddle. Teaching should give full attention to guide students to pass
