The Halifax EcoCity project is Australia’s first eco-city project. The eco-city development involves a wide range of integrated function target systems: 12 items including the physical environment of communities and buildings, socio-economic structure and urban industries The goal of which is to put forward the eco-development mode of “Social Drive ” and therefore won the “International Eco-City Award ” in 1994. In June 1996, the project was used as a best practice example in the “Urban Forum” of UN Habitat II. Halifax Eco City is located in Halifax, Inner City, Adelaide, Australia.
