The refractories of the caster middle tank contain the protective and working layers. The protective layer is mainly composed of refractory clay or high alumina brick, while the working layer is made of alkaline injection material or insulation board. Hganas, Switzerland, has developed an injection molding material based on olivine, forsterite and a small amount of fayalite. The olivine spray material also contains organic fibers that eliminate swelling and quickly heat the spray material during use without voids passing through the vapors. The composition of this injection material is 57% MgO, 34% SiO_2, 7% Fe_2O_3 and 1% Al_2_3. The fire resistance at 1850 ℃ is SK38, the bulk density is 2300kg / m ~ 3, and the thickness is 25mm.
