王波明1955年生于波兰,其父时任中国驻波兰大使,后来成为外交部副部长。王波明是中国实行改革开放后最早的一批留学生之一,毕业于美国哥伦比亚大学国际金融专业。他曾在美国纽约股票交易所任职,1987年回国后,策划并参与了中国证券市场的创建。证券市场建立后,王波明逐渐转到金融和实业投资,目前是中国证券市场研究设计中心总干事、《财经》杂志总编辑。
Born in Poland in 1955, Wang was the father of China’s ambassador to Poland and later became the deputy minister of foreign affairs. Wang Bowen was one of the earliest batch of students after China adopted the reform and opening up policy. He graduated from Columbia University in the United States with a major in international finance. He served on the New York Stock Exchange in the United States. After returning to China in 1987, he planned and participated in the creation of China’s securities market. After the establishment of the securities market, Wang Boming gradually turned to financial and industrial investment. He is currently Director General of China Securities Market Research and Design Center and Chief Editor of Caijing Magazine.
