滚灯是汉族民间节日中群众自娱自乐的一种艺术形式,它集舞蹈、杂技、体育为一体,主要流行于江浙沪及江南农村地区,至今已有七百余年的历史。传统的奉贤滚灯起源于傩戏,由于体积较大,舞动时需要很大的体力,从明朝开始,舞滚灯还被作为抗倭军队强体尚武的一种训练形式。后来,奉贤滚灯逐步走向民间,成为大众娱乐庆贺的一种手段,每逢奉贤各镇灯会、节庆或者庆丰收、贺高升之日,庆贺活动都以舞滚灯为荣。2007年,奉贤滚灯被列为上海市非物质文化遗产保护项目;2008年被列为国家级非物质文化遗产保护项目。
Rolling lights is an art form entertained by the masses during the Han nationality folk festivals. It combines dance, acrobatics and sports into one. It is mainly popular in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Shanghai and rural areas in the south of the Yangtze River. It has a history of more than 700 years. The traditional Fengxian rolling light originates from the Nuo opera. Due to its large size, it takes a great deal of energy to dance. Since the Ming Dynasty, the dance lamp has also been used as a form of training for the anti-Japanese army. Later, Fengxian rolling lamp gradually went to the public, as a means of public entertainment celebrations, Fengxian Township Lantern Festival, festivals or celebrate harvest, the occasion of the heavens, celebrations are proud of the Rolling Dance. In 2007, Fengxian Rolling Lamp was listed as the Shanghai Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Project; in 2008, it was listed as a national intangible cultural heritage protection project.
