On October 6, 2001, the second BRIDGE exhibition between China and Japan, jointly organized by the Association of Chinese Print Engravers, the Shinshu Printmaking Association of Japan and the Cultural Bureau of Qinhuangdao Municipality, was grandly opened in Qinhuangdao, a coastal city. The exhibition includes a total of 110 masterpieces of printmaking by 38 Chinese print artists and 28 Japanese print artists. Wang Qi, chairman of China’s Graphic Artists Association, former president of Tokyo University of the Arts, Japan’s Japan Friendship Association president Hideki Yohei, wrote a foreword for the exhibition.
