Pierce和Brewbaker(1973)提出了同功酶技术的应用,其中包括栽培品种的鉴别。其后,就有同功酶分析用于几个无性繁殖的品种鉴别的陆续报道。如:苹果、日本山茶、菠萝、树莓、草莓等。这种生物化学标记为品种鉴定提供了一个比形态学特征更精确的方法,在亲本鉴定上更有前途和价值(Moore等,1983)。此外,同功酶分析还可用来研究群体内遗传变异及无性系之间的关系。
Pierce and Brewbaker (1973) proposed the use of isoenzyme technology, including the identification of cultivars. Since then, there are isozyme analysis of several species of asexual reproduction identification reported. Such as: apples, Japanese camellia, pineapple, raspberry, strawberry and so on. This biochemical marker provides a more accurate method of characterization than morphological characterization and is more promising and valuable in the identification of parents (Moore et al., 1983). In addition, isozyme analysis can also be used to study the genetic variation among populations and the relationship between clones.
