This paper analyzes the impact of global and local technological change on employment and relative wages in an integrated two-world model (Europe and the United States). Both countries maintain a balanced unemployment rate due to fair wage constraints, with the difference that each has a different preference for wage inequality. Europe prefers egalitarianism. On this basis, we examine the integration between the two countries and the third country (low-income countries in the southern hemisphere). We started with the analysis of Virtual Integrated Equilibrium, applying the integrated equilibrium analysis of Dixit and Norman to endogenous unemployment in both countries.
