In the Victorian era, Hibiscus hid all sorts of messages (speech signals) in small bouquets, which must be checked with a flower dictionary. This bouquet, known as a flower bouquet, is about the meaning to be expressed in a variety of specific flowers. The language of flowers can be displayed on people’s hair, hats and clothing. A fresh white rose indicates “I deserve your love,” while a withering white rose expresses “I am disappointed” - the frustration of a suitor. Other floral combinations are also used for various congratulations, birthday wishes, or gratitude.
