中国Internet开通五周年 4月20日,中国科学院计算机网络信息中心在京举办了“中国In—ternet开通五周年庆典暨网络技术研讨会”。 1994年4月20日,“中关村地区教育与科研示范网络”(NCFC)与美国NSFnet实现直接联网,中国正式成为国际Internet的成员。目前,中国科技网(CSTNet)已经拥有很大的规模:光缆100多条,卫星站点40多个,DDN专线十余条,微波信道设施80余套,有4Mbps国际出口信道与美国连接,128kbps信道连接日本,直接联网计算机10万多台,最终用户20多万户,连接全国600多个科研单位和管理部门,建成专业数据库108个,总数据量430GB,
