Several articles on anti-jamming (ECCM) analysis have been published (some of which have collected anti-interference rating formulas). However, the issue of anti-jam effectiveness assessment has not been generally understood by the military radar community. Modern military radars are often not an isolated entity but an integral part of a military weapons system. This article describes the relationship between anti-jamming performance and its associated weapon system and proposes exact anti-jamming performance criteria. These guidelines can be considered as requirements for improving anti-jamming performance and can also serve as a basis for evaluating the true value of a given anti-jamming measure. The anti-jamming improvement factor (EIF) proposed by the author is used as a method of representing the performance improvement of many anti-jamming items in radar analysis. EIF formula is also discussed. This article was prepared on the basis of articles, conference papers, books and patents published in six countries (in alphabetical order): Chinese, German, Indian, Russian, British and American journals.
