1976年7月,在一个黎明前的黑夜,一间阴暗潮湿的小屋里,有位老人悄然离去,人生的大幕垂下,巨星陨落。然而,他耀眼的艺术成就仍光照千秋,熠熠生辉于中国现代艺术史的星空。他就是被视为继张大千之后,在全国最有影响、艺术成就最为杰出的巴蜀画家,堪称二十世纪中期中国画坛承前启后的大家——陈子庄,更有着“中国梵高”的美誉。纵然,陈子庄在大多数人眼中是功力深厚、技艺高超的绘画天才,但他的学问、修养、道德、行谊也深得人们敬佩。即便是他专心从事绘画之前的所作所为,都足以令世人回味。
July 1976, in a dark night before dawn, a dark, humid cabin, an old man quietly left, the curtain of life drooping, the stars fall. However, his dazzling artistic achievements are still shining brightly in the sky of the history of modern Chinese art. He is regarded as Bashu painter who has the most influence and artistic achievement in the country after Zhang Daqian. He is called Chen Zizhuang, who is a Chinese painting artist in the middle of the 20th century and has the reputation of “China Van Gogh”. Although, Chenzhuang Zhuang in the eyes of most people is skillful, skilled painting genius, but his knowledge, self-cultivation, morality, deeds also won the admiration. Even before he devoted himself to painting he did enough to make the world aftertaste.
