吕西安·费弗尔所著的《莱茵河:历史、神话和现实》叙述了作为法、德交往中介的莱茵河地区的历史。但这一地区也是法、德历史上的自然边界,边界职能是随着民族国家的发展而演变的。无论是自然边界或交往中介,都是与其所属的历史时期的特征相适应的。只有完整地对待莱茵河地区的历史,才能真正解决法、德之间的矛盾。同时,本文也肯定了费弗尔关于法德合作开发莱茵河地区论述的正确性。
“The Rhine: History, Myths, and Reality,” by Lucien Favre, describes the history of the Rhine region as an intermediary between France and Germany. However, this region is also a natural boundary in the history of France and Germany. Boundary functions have evolved with the development of nation-state. Whether it is a natural boundary or an intermediary, it is compatible with the characteristics of the historical period to which it belongs. Only a complete treatment of the history of the Rhine region can we really solve the conflict between France and Germany. At the same time, this article also affirmed Favre’s correctness about the cooperation between France and Germany in the development of the Rhine region.
