积分之于职业选手就像Spencer Johnson书中嗅嗅和匆匆一直在寻找的奶酪。2014赛季尚未拉开帷幕,WTA各位选手的“奶酪”就已先行被刚改革的积分规则动了“手脚”。1如何影响积分?从2014赛季开始,WTA各级别赛事除了最终的冠军的积分与改革前保持不变以及第一轮积分上升外,其他轮次的积分都有不同程度的减少。四强成为积分下降最明显的轮次。以大满贯为例,各轮次积分由改革前的2000、1400、900、500、280、160、100、5变为2000、1300、780、430、240、130、70、10。这样的积分规则大有向ATP看齐的意思。
