Students who choose not to study Latin must choose a second foreign language (French). Students have 5 sessions per week in the first academic year, 4 English classes in the second academic year and three English lessons per week in the fifth academic year. Abitur, who wants to take the nine-year German Arts Diploma, must pass an English test or be ineligible for college.
