我深刻地体会到,在北方地区用刨花作基质栽培兰花有诸多好处:取材非常容易;清洁环保无虫害;质轻易搬动;最重要的是疏松透气性极佳,保肥保水性良好。任何实木木材的电刨刨花都可以直接使用,但硬质木材最好(如梨、桃、杏、苹果、国槐、核桃木等),硬木刨花耐沤,使用时间长,可用两年,不过我一般一年半就更换一次,以免刨花沤烂,影响透气性。但要注意的是复合木板的刨花含有害的化学物质过多,不宜用来养花。
