今年1月初我就出版工作采访了国家出版局局长宋木文。他今年57岁,原任文化部副部长,在这之前曾经长期担任出版局领导工作,对出版界情况比较熟悉。他于去年12月就任新职后的第一件事是:飞往广西南宁参加全国出版局(社)长会议,在那里提出了就职宣言:“开创提高出书质量新局面。”他说,“十年浩劫”造成的严重书荒、读者买书饥不择食的情况已经过去。现在出版事业进入着重提高质量、调整结构、建立体系的新阶段。
In early January of this year, I interviewed Song Muwen, director of the State Publishing Bureau, for publishing work. He is 57 years old. He used to be the deputy minister of the Ministry of Culture. Prior to that, he had long been the leader of the Publishing Bureau, familiar with the publishing industry. The first thing he took over as a new post in December last year was to fly to Nanning, Guangxi to attend the National Press Council, where he proposed a declaration of inauguration: “Creating a New Situation in Enhancing Publishing Quality.” He said: The severe shortage of books caused by the “10-year Holocaust” is over. Now the publishing industry has entered a new stage of focusing on improving quality, adjusting structure and establishing a system.
