结型场效应管虽然栅源电阻高达100兆欧以上,但有时还嫌不够高,而且在高温工作时,阻值会有显著下降。另外从制造工艺方面来看,高度集成化困难。因此就常用绝缘栅场效应管。它的导电机构与结型场效应管不同。结型是利用导电沟道两侧的耗尽区的变化来控制漏极电流;而绝缘栅型则是利用感应电荷的多少来改变导电沟道的导电性能,达到控制漏极电流的目的。
