在第二次实验中,证实对D.ordii蚤也有一定杀灭效果,虽然比D.spectabilis的程度为低。
Two field trials were conducted in southeastern New Mexico to evaluate the effectiveness of dichlorvos in rodent bait-containing polyvinyl chloride particles as an inhalational poison to kill several rodent fleas. In the first experiment, 22.8 grams / Hectare of dichlorvos, a total of 6.3 hectares, 18 days after spraying had a flea effect. In the second experiment, 385.1 gms of dichlorvos per hectare were actually applied for a total of 15.8 hectares. Control of fleas occurred but failed to maintain after 43 days. In both trials, effective fleas were only confirmed in the Dipodomys spectabilis, probably because of the habit of storing large quantities of food in their caves. The D.spectabilis flea population did not show any significant recovery until about one year after application. In the second experiment, it was confirmed that D. dormii also had a reduced killing effect, though to a lesser degree than D.spectabilis. The control effects of other rodent fleas involved in this study have not been confirmed, probably because they did not accumulate a sufficient amount of internal drug in their caves.
