从2003年底在全国新闻界及相关院校开展的以“‘三个代表’重要思想、马克思主义新闻观、职业精神职业道德”为基本内容的“三项学习教育”活动,至今已跨入第四个年头。去年,中央有关部门又发文要求继续深入开展这一活动,以进一步加强市场经济条件下党对新闻事业的领导,推进新闻队伍的思想和业务建设,使新闻媒体在宣传党的主张、把握舆论导向、引导社会热点、搞好舆论监督等方面发挥更为积极有效的作用。
