围困敌寇创奇迹,发展农业奠根基,兴修水利惠三晋,清廉勤勉留丰碑……一幅幅画面,一串串故事,质朴而生动,鲜活而感人。尽管他已经逝去二十个年头,他的事迹却从未被人们忘记。刘开基是土生土长的沁源人,1912年出生在沁源县城关镇南园村一个贫苦的农民家庭。1928年,他17岁时便参加了革命工作。1937年12月加入中国共产党。1941年担任沁源县委书记兼游击大队政委。
