In 1979-1982, the authors determined the optimum amount of phosphate fertilizer for alfalfa under irrigation conditions at a state farm in the Soviet Union. The soil in the experimental plot is generally poorly calcareted black earth. Tillage humus content of 4.52% in 100 grams of soil containing hydrolyzed nitrogen 12.7 mg; available phosphorus 2.2; metabolic potassium 23. Irrigation in the alfalfa branches and buds during pregnancy, irrigation volume of 700 m ~ 3 / ha. Prior to flowering of alfalfa, the water content in the soil one meter deep in the soil remained at 70-100% of the minimum soil moisture content, from 55-60% at flowering to seed maturity.
