书籍作为一种文化的载体在人类文明的发展中充当着重要的角色,现在的图书不仅是要满足人们的阅读要求而是能从中感受到更多精神文化的洗礼,装帧艺术设计在这点上得到了重要的体现,在经济全球化的今天,艺术设计也必然受到影响,崇洋媚外的现象十分严重,书籍装帧作为艺术设计的一个类别,不能简单的固守传统文化,也不能盲目的模仿和抄袭外来文化,我们应该在吸取外来设计的同时立足本国文化,才能让我们的五千年的文化历史得以传承和让中华民族立足在世界民族之林。
