At a recent press conference, Japan Shipowners Association President Masaki Ikeda said the Japan Shipowners Association will continue to exert pressure on the (Japanese) government and relevant international organizations in keeping with the present system of exempting antitrust laws in keeping with shipping agreements. This system is crucial not only for the shipping industry but also for international commerce.
