John Robert Anderson was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in 1947. He grew up in the city’s slums. When he was young, he had many different dreams. No matter what the dream, his parents always give encouragement and support. He entered the University of British Columbia with a writer’s dream. When he left, the biggest dream was to develop psychology into an accurate quantitative science. He worked diligently on his study, partly because of his poor foundation and, on the other hand, because of too many conflicting dreams.
