本文基于两个本族语者语料库和学习者语料库选取四个含有“降低”含义的英语同义词,对其语义韵进行考察和比较,进而发现本族语者和学习者对这些词使用情况的差异。结果表明,许多情况下,中国英语学习者使用跟本族语者相似的词类搭配,但二者在语义韵特征方面体现出较大的使用差异。可以推断,中国学习者没有掌握这些词确切的、深层的含义,因而没能够学习和使用到真实、地道的英语。语义韵现象应该引起英语教育者重视。
Based on two native speaker corpus and learner corpus, this paper selects four English synonym words with “reduction” meaning, examines and compares their semantic prosody, and then finds out the use of these words by native speakers and learners. The difference. The results show that in many cases, Chinese English learners use similar word classes with native speakers, but both of them show greater differences in semantic rhyme characteristics. It can be inferred that Chinese learners do not have the exact, deep meaning of these words, and therefore have not been able to learn and use authentic and authentic English. The phenomenon of semantic rhyme should attract the attention of English educators.
