The structure of a carbon solid is one of the most important directions in carbon physics. The physical properties exhibited by the solid under certain conditions are all derived from the multi-layered nature of the interior of the solid. Probably for this reason, compared with the physical study of carbon solids, "the physical properties of graphite and carbon solids as a subject direction, I am afraid that should be considered from the early fiveties of this century, headed by American physicist Mrozowski Buffalo Physics From the work of the school and others, structural studies of carbon solids can be traced back to X-ray diffraction studies of natural graphites and amorphous carbon by Debye and Scherrer in the late 1910s.
