学校始建于1916年,2012年整体搬迁至临港经济开发区利港亲水湖畔。学校始终坚持“为幸福人生奠基”的办学理念,坚持“张扬学生个性,促进全而发展”的办学策略,秉承“和美”之校训,重质量,树品牌。学校占地47670平方米,建筑面积24025平方米,所有教室都配有电子白板、短焦投影、计算机,网络在校园有线、无线全覆盖。学校现有42个教学班,1782名学生,平均班额42.4.新市民子女621名,占34.8%。112名专任教师。现有江阴市级以上学科骨干教师28人,占25%。教师学历100%合格,高一级学历占95.5%,本科毕业占65.2%。学校坚持把打造一流教育质量作为终极口标,追求各门学科均衡发展。语文学科作
