The General Office of the People’s Government of Shandong Province has recently forwarded the “Report of the Provincial Construction Committee on Doing a Good Job in the Protection of Historic Excellent Buildings in the Province.” It called for the protection of historically outstanding buildings and the standards of excellent historic buildings in the process of accelerating the transformation of old cities. Classification and identification and protection measures have been detailed. Regarding the standards of historically outstanding architecture, the “Report” points out that historically outstanding architecture refers to the entire province within 1966.
