她是“两弹一星”元勋郭永怀的遗孀,被称作“中科院最美的玫瑰”“中关村的明灯”“年轻的老年人”。她和李政道一起帮助中国第一批自费留学生走出国门。81岁那年,她创办中关村大讲坛,黄祖洽、杨乐、资中筠、厉以宁、饶毅等名家,都登过这个大讲坛。
She is the widow of Guo Yonghuai, a member of the “two bombs and one satellite.” It is called “the most beautiful rose of the Chinese Academy of Sciences” and “the light of Zhongguancun” “young seniors.” She and Li Zhengdao together to help China’s first batch of self-funded students go abroad.
