In the repair of such teeth should be made to resist the vertical and horizontal outward force. Casting restorations are generally considered to be superior to amalgam restorations, but in some cases, amalgam restorations may be used, such as economic factors, elderly patients, endodontics, and uncertain prognosis of periodontal treatment.
