我们应当怎样把握住加强党的建设的指导思想,明确什么样的要求呢?当前最根本、最重要的,就是一定要坚持把我们党建设成为马列主义、毛泽东思想武装的中国工人阶级的先锋队。这样的先锋队,必须理论上更加成熟,思想上更加统一,政治上更加坚强,内部更加团结,同群众的关系更加亲密,真正是领导全国各族人民建设有中国特色的社会主义的坚强核心。这个要求,体现了马克思主义的建党学说,适应新形势、新任务的要求,符合党的基本路线的需要,因而应当作为我们在现阶段加强党的建设必须遵循的
How should we grasp the guiding ideology of strengthening party building and clarify what kind of requirements? The most fundamental and most important thing at present is to insist that we must be the vanguard of the Chinese working class armed with Marxism-Leninism and Mao Zedong Thought . Such vanguard must be theoretically more mature, more unified in ideology, politically stronger, more internally united, more intimately connected with the masses, and truly the core of socialism that leads the people of all nationalities across the country in building socialism with Chinese characteristics. This requirement embodies the Marxist party building theory and meets the requirements of the new situation and new tasks in line with the party’s basic line needs. Therefore, it should be regarded as the standard that we must follow to strengthen party building at this stage
