法国“西北风”级新型两栖登陆舰的首舰“西北风”号已于2004年10月在布雷斯特海军造船厂建成下水,预定2005年 6月服役。该级舰的另外一艘名为“托奈尔”的预计将于2006 年6月服役。这两艘舰将用来替代目前正在法国海军服役的2艘“暴风”级船坞登陆舰。这是法国继“暴风”、“闪电”级登陆舰之后推出的又一全球瞩目的新型舰艇。
The first “Northwest Wind” of the French “Northwest Wind” class new amphibious landing ship was launched in October 2004 at the Brest Naval Shipyard and is scheduled to serve in June 2005. Another ship of the class named “Tony” is expected to be in service in June 2006. The two ships will be used to replace the two “storm” class dock landing ships currently serving in the French Navy. This is another new type of ship attracting worldwide attention after France launched the “Storm” and “Lightning” class landing craft.
