目前,临床为安置节育环而采用的宫体腔长度测量法偏差较大,影响节育环的正确选择和发挥避孕作用。为了改变这种状况,无锡医疗器材厂试制了新型宫腔测量选择器。人体的宫腔形状近似于一个扁平的等腰三角形,宫底相当于三角形的底边,宫颈管内口相当于三角形的顶角(见附图)。如果测出宫腔深度和宫颈管内口的夹角,就可以算出内切圆(即节育环)的直径。等腰三角形内切圆直径与高和顶角的关系为:
