2001年第12期《中国企业家》杂志发表封面文章《21位中国企业领袖全球竞争力重估》,柳传志的发言可谓震聋发馈:“我们要更深刻地反省我们所处的环境。中国加入WTO的第一要义,就是要形成一个标准的商业环境。与IBM这些国际企业相比,中国企业的差距可以罗列为资金、技术、管理、人才等诸方面,但是事实上也不仅仅表现在企业层次上,支持我们制定战略和执行战略的环境基础都比较薄弱。”
