萧楚女,原名萧秋,湖北汉阳人,生于1893年。他是中国共产党早期的青年运动领导人之一。1919年在武汉参加五四运动。1920年与恽代英等发起组织中国社会主义青年团。1922年加入中国共产党。后到四川教学和任报馆编辑。曾参加中国社会主义青年团中央工作,编辑《中国青年》。1925年任黄埔军官学校政治教官。1926年到广州在毛泽东主办的农民运动讲习所任专职教员。曾对国民党右派戴季陶的谬论进行
