一、什么是手指字母?手指字母是指语的工具。指语在一些使用拼音文字的国家是作为一种语言标志被使用着。从人的第二信号系统活动来说,手指字母跟书面字母、电报字码、旗语等这些以视觉分析器的属性为基础的信号活动有着同等效用。手指字母在特殊教育中担负着重要的任务。它除了作用于人的视觉分析器之外,还作用于人的动觉分析器,即表现于手的关节运动。在聋哑儿童教育中借助它来作语言教学的辅助手段。在盲聋哑儿童(即又盲又聋又不会说话的)教育中,手指字母则被作为重要手段。要使他们掌握盲人点字,就必须依靠手指字母为先导。
