本文主要讨论不同的“人类学”理念是如何导致了对“艺术人类学”的不同理解。研究小型非西方社会的通行人类学观念影响下的艺术人类学关注这些社会或文化中的视觉艺术。人类学有时也被视为一种独特的方法,可以适用于任何文化中的社会文化现象,包括其艺术形式。这两种人类学观亦可被作为更具广泛性的跨学科人类学研究的补充。按照这种观念,艺术人类学成为人类存在艺术的全景审视。如此,艺术人类学和世界艺术研究同义,被构建为全球性和跨学科的视觉艺术研究。
This article focuses on how different “anthropological” ideas lead to different understandings of “art anthropology.” The study of anthropology of the arts under the influence of the universal anthropological ideas of small, non-Western societies focuses on the visual arts in these societies or cultures. Anthropology is sometimes seen as a unique method that can be applied to any socio-cultural phenomenon in culture, including its art forms. These two anthropological perspectives can also be complemented by more extensive interdisciplinary anthropological research. According to this notion, artistic anthropology becomes a panoramic view of the art of human existence. As such, art anthropology is synonymous with world art research and is constructed as a global and interdisciplinary visual arts research.
