Since the 1950s, safflower grass has been the main winter green manure crop in our county. Over the years, the planted area is between 24 and 26 million mu. The average yield per mu of fresh grass is about 3,000 kilograms. There have also been many high-yielding output of over 6,000 kg per mu Ridges and more than 10,000 pounds of high yield plots. However, since 1978, the planting area of safflower grass in our county has been continuously reduced, and the yield of fresh grass has been greatly reduced. Due to the decline of safflower production, the soil fertility will not be compensated, which will affect the continuous grain yield increase. Therefore, the restoration and development of red flowers and grass production has become a top priority. To this end, in 1982, we established a model demonstration of high yield of safflower in the pit form of the Takahashi three teams of Takahashi commune in Takahashi Prefecture and set up a series of subsidiary comparative experiments. Demonstration results show that as long as the production of safflower grass as a serious crop to species, safflower production not only to restore, but also great potential for development.
