The rise of PDM as CIMS information integration platform meets the requirements of CAPP system development and also brings about the change of CAPP system architecture. This paper analyzes the characteristics of CAPP system under general PDM environment different from general CAPP system and proposes a system structure of practical CAPP system on PDM platform and discusses its implementation method
