南大街小学是西宁市创建最早、历史最久的一所小学。1785年创建时称湟中书院,1905年,改称县第一高级小学;后更名为西宁市第一完全小学。1954年易名为西宁市南大街小学至今。
South Main Street Primary School is the oldest in Xining City, the longest history of a primary school. Founded in 1785, Chungli College was renamed as the First High School in 1905 and renamed as the first complete primary school in Xining. 1954 renamed South Street Primary School in Xining City so far.
