在《科技与出版》这样的重量级期刊上,讨论出版的核心竞争力,不可能回避行业目前正在进行中的新技术改造、数字化升级、网络化转轨、出版业态转型。核心竞争力,对于出版业来说,当然是内容制胜。但是,技术总是被忽略、被搁置、被拖延,技术改造总被认为是可有可无的事情,这对于经历过木与石、布与帛、铅与火、光与电、数与网洗礼的出版行业,显然是不公平的。在信息时代,形成内容的选择方式、选择条件,承载内容的传播速度、传播质量、传播能力、传播介质,本身就是核心竞争力的具体体现。
