紫云英是我局所属垦区近年在稻田栽培的主要绿肥作物之一。目前,在德宏垦区的陇川农场等单位种植面积较大,临沧垦区也开始在勐省、勐撒、勐底等农场栽培。1979和1981年,我们从安徽、湖南购进种子9450斤,使其种植面积发展到5000亩左右。今后,播种面积还将继续扩大。陇川农场从1979年开始种紫云英,到1980年秋已扩大到3000多亩,占水稻种植面积的16％左右。1981年2月23日,在该场弄巴分场第四生产队,选择1980年9月底至10月初在稻后撒播的生长最好的数十亩连片田,对其进行调查并测青草产量,结果是:平均株高82.4cm,最高119cm,最低46cm;
