加拿大翻译教育始于20世纪70年代,其建设与发展顺应了1969年《双语政策法案》实施带动的翻译市场的迅速发展,以及知识全球化传播和信息技术的发展与应用的趋势。面对翻译行业和人才需求的深刻变化,加拿大翻译教育紧密结合社会实践,为培养时代所要求的职业翻译人才采取了一系列积极措施。本文探讨了加拿大翻译教育近45年间的建设和发展状况,分析其成功发展的模式和特征,从而为中国新时期面临的翻译教育创新发展提供借鉴。
Canadian translation education began in the 1970s and its construction and development followed the rapid development of the translation market driven by the implementation of the Bilingual Policy Act of 1969 and the trend of global knowledge dissemination and information technology development and application. In the face of profound changes in the needs of the translation industry and talents, Canadian translation education is closely integrated with social practice and has taken a series of positive measures to cultivate professional translators required by the times. This article explores the construction and development of translation education in Canada during the past 45 years and analyzes the patterns and characteristics of its successful development so as to provide reference for the innovation and development of translation education in the new era of China.
